The dog rose is one of the most lovely of British wildflowers. Elegant and ancient, she is so deeply entwined in our culture; perhaps most famously in the Tudor Rose symbolism.
Used as a healing remedy for all ails of the heart, both physically and emotionally the dog rose is the plant of love and desire. Significantly, copper is associated with the planet and goddess Venus. The pairing of the two is a recipe for calling in Love.
These handmade copper and brass dog rose cuttings look beautiful in floral arrangements, but look most striking displayed on a wall or threshold.
The stems can be hammered in place using a nail tacked through one of the naturally occurring loops on the wire stem.
