These Sycamore twigs pay homage to the Sycamore Gap Tree which was illegally felled in 2023. Since it's encounter with the axe, the tree has sprouted fresh stems in defiance.
The Sycamore speaks to me of resilience and fortitude. These stems have been made to serve as a reminder of your strength in the face of adversity.
Each Sycamore twig is handcrafted from copper and brass. It can be used in floral arrangements, but looks most striking when displayed on a wall or threshold.
Do this by using a small nail, hammered between the many naturally occurring loops in the wire stem.
Please note, each twig was made by my hands, so has its own unique characteristics.
